Coronavirus Response Fund

The Coronavirus Response Fund was established by the Jersey Community Foundation, with funds from Dormant Bank Accounts, to get much-needed emergency funding to local charities. The criteria for grants are broad in terms of providing support to the island community of Jersey in coping with the current pandemic, COVID-19, and its aftermath.

Coronavirus Response Fund

The criteria include covering the cost of the additional short-term resource, funding projects or activities affected which include the advancement of community development and health as well as the provision of relief to those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability and financial hardship. We encourage all grant applicants to contact us early on to confirm eligibility. Whilst there is some flexibility, there will be a cap of £50,000 on grants to any one organisation in any financial year.

Prior to applying in full, please email grants@jerseycommunityfoundation.org to discuss your funding request and confirm likely eligibility.

Please include the following information:

  • Amount requested
  • A brief explanation of what the money is for
  • A brief statement of who will benefit and in what way
  • Your charity status (registered / EFC)

The Jersey Community Foundation continues to work closely with organisations across the Island to identify areas where support is most needed.

The board is currently meeting every two months to review applications to the Coronavirus Response Fund and the deadlines for applications are:

  • Sunday 18 April
  • Sunday 13 June
  • Sunday 12 September
  • Sunday 14 November
