The Future Skills Fund has been created in partnership with Digital Jersey to help close Jersey’s future skills divide. The island, like much of the world, is facing a technological revolution which will see automation replace many existing jobs, and the lowest-skilled risking exclusion from the wider economy because of a skills shortage.
The Future Skills Fund aims to invest in projects which will transform individuals and communities through developing skills. The aim is to
embed and support digital inclusion within the critical work undertaken by the community sector at the front line: whether helping people find employment, improve their health, or manage money, as well as investing in training and reskilling to ensure Jersey retains a competitive advantage in its digital transformation today, tomorrow and for decades to come.
The Coronavirus Response Fund was established by the Jersey Community Foundation, with funds from Dormant Bank Accounts, to get much-needed emergency funding to local charities. Grants have been made to support local charities and voluntary organisations that are assisting some of Jersey’s most vulnerable people.
We have awarded over £500,000 of funding since this fund was launched in September 2020 - offering emergency grants as an immediate response to the most pressing needs, and offering continued support to organisations and groups as they adapt to new ways of delivering services and help people in the recovery from the initial impact of the pandemic.Make a donation
In partnership with ESI Monitor, the Jersey Community Foundation has established an Environment Fund. This fund will receive funding from ESI’s Carbon Offset + Scheme, the ATF Fuels carbon free fuel scheme as well as funding from individuals, businesses and charitable trusts who want to support environmental conservation and restoration projects in Jersey.
Funding will support projects, services or initiatives to be undertaken within Jersey which: support Jersey’s decarbonization plans; enhance and restore local biodiversity; address climate change; support Jersey's carbon neutral strategy; and generally further environmental protection and enhancement locally. These examples are illustrative, not exhaustive, and we would welcome the opportunity to work with donors to identify projects that may be of interest to them. All projects must fit one or more charitable purposes as per the Charities (Jersey) Law 2014.Make a donation
