Social Mobility

Lesley brings extensive community experience and a practical understanding of social mobility to her role as a panel member for Jersey Community Foundation. Her work is informed by lived experience and a clear understanding of how systems, governance, and service design shape access to opportunity in Jersey.

Her commitment to community wellbeing began at a young age and includes supporting the development of two charities focused on inclusion and long-term resilience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lesley worked alongside the Salvation Army and community volunteers to help design and implement a coordinated food-bank pick-up and drop-off system, strengthening how essential support reached vulnerable individuals and families during a period of significant need.

Lesley has also contributed to Jersey’s cultural sector, supporting the curation of exhibitions that explore history, identity, and community narratives. Alongside her community work, she brings professional experience in sport, health, and wellbeing. She holds a degree in Sports, is a trained fitness instructor, and has worked in health, fitness and nutrition-focused roles, as well as owning and operating her own business.

This blend of grassroots leadership, professional practice, and systems awareness enables Lesley to contribute balanced, informed insight to funding decisions that support access, capability, and long-term social mobility across the Island.
