The Jersey Community Foundation is delighted to be able to offer grants to local groups for local environmental conservation and restoration projects. The fund is currently being supported with donations from customers of ATF Fuels who have chosen to purchase fuel with a built-in offset. Applications can be made at any time to this fund.

Businesses, charities and community groups may apply
Successful applications will relate to a project, service or initiative to be undertaken within Jersey which: support Jersey’s decarbonization plans; enhances and restores local biodiversity; addresses climate change; supports Jersey's carbon neutral strategy; and generally furthers environmental protection and enhancement locally. These examples are illustrative, not exhaustive, and are included for guidance.
All applications must fit one or more charitable purposes as per the Charities (Jersey) Law 2014.
Grants may fund existing services / facilities and new initiatives, and can contribute to either capital costs (e.g. funding new equipment) or ongoing operating costs.
When applying for funds, commercial businesses should set out why it is unreasonable to expect them to draw upon their own funds.
Grant recipients must report to the Foundation on how the Grant has been spent and the extent to which the funded activity has achieved the desired outcomes. The Foundation will provide the grant recipient with a reporting template.
Grants should be spent within one calendar year of receiving funding or as agreed otherwise with the Foundation.
