Jon was born and educated in Jersey and trained in history and museology before joining the charity Jersey Heritage as a Curator in 1989, where he has been Chief Executive since 2003. Through a period of significant change in the tourism economy, philanthropy and in Government approaches to cultural investment, he has helped the organisation grow from running one museum to operating 35 sites and providing a wide range of museum, archive and historic environment services for the Island in partnership with the Government of Jersey, a network of local cultural and commercial organisations, local and national sponsors and international institutions.
