Island Health Fund
Help shape the future of health in Jersey
The Island Health Fund is a new philanthropic fund established by Jersey Community Foundation, providing a dedicated way for individuals, families, businesses and charitable trusts to support projects that could transform health and wellbeing in Jersey.
The Fund will bring together philanthropic investment to support ambitious initiatives that enhance and accelerate, rather than replace, publicly funded healthcare. It will provide a trusted and independently governed route for health philanthropy, with funding directed towards areas where it can make the greatest difference for Islanders.
What could the Island Health Fund support?
The Fund has the potential to support a small number of larger, strategically important initiatives, alongside innovation and projects that improve health outcomes across the Island.
This could include:

advanced medical equipment and technology;

research and clinical innovation;

enhanced patient facilities and therapeutic environments;

community health initiatives;

specialist training and fellowships; and
-
pilot programmes testing new approaches to improving health outcomes.
How will priorities be decided?
An independent Health Fund Panel is being established to determine the Fund's priorities, drawing on evidence of health need, public health data, patient and community insight, clinical expertise and Jersey's wider strategic health priorities.
The Fund will work collaboratively with Government, healthcare providers, the voluntary sector and donors, while maintaining independent decision-making through Jersey Community Foundation.
