Philip Le Cornu
Trustee & Co-Chair
Philip was born in Jersey and educated at Victoria College before qualifying as a Barrister, completing his pupillage and tenancy at 2 Fountain Court Birmingham. He returned to Jersey in 2000 and joined Ogier.
After advising on the legal aspects of trust structures for nine years, Philip moved into the fiduciary services business in 2009. He was a group director with global responsibility for Intertrust and prior to that Elian Private Wealth (formerly part of Ogier Fiduciary Services).
Philip later set up and ran the operational support, corporate governance and compliance function for a global philanthropic programme for the Allan & Gill Gray Foundation. He attended the Jersey Funder's Group during the COVID emergency and it was during that period that he was instrumental in establishing the Jersey Community Foundation and became one of the original trustees.
Philip is currently Chair of the Jersey Homes Trust and has been a trustee for over ten years.
Philip is also one of the Foundation’s Sports Advisers and has been involved in many sports in Jersey, from childhood through to the present day. These include football, hockey, cricket, squash, badminton, tennis, golf and triathlon.
